Beaumanor Hall is a Victorian country house
set in 34 acres of idyllic countryside
It resides in the small village of Woodhouse
on the edge of the Charnwood Forest.
Halls date back to the 14th century.
Throughout the second world war, the Hall
was used as a secret listening station
to intercept encrypted enemy signals.
The history of Beaumanor Hall influenced
the film ' The Imitation Game' directed by
Morten Tyldum where during World War II,
the English mathematical genius Alan Turing
tries to crack the German Enigma code
with help from fellow mathematicians.
